This concertina book depicts a walking journey from the village of Iona to St Columbaʼs Bay on the southerly coast of this small Hebridean island.

The book was made on site below Dun Bhuirg or Hill of the Fort on the west side of Iona, the site of an Iron Age fort over two thousand years ago.

Arisaig Bay

Concertina book produced on location at Arisaig in Lochaber. Ink/wash/collage.

The village of Arisaig (the Safe Place) is situated on the shore of Loch nan Ceall (Loch of the Cells) on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. The area has a long and diverse history of settlement going back to early Mesolithic times.
